When Disaster Strikes Will You Be Ready?

Bridgewater Community Emergency Response Team Now!

The Bridgewater Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is recruiting community based volunteers who can serve during local or regional emergencies and/or assist with public health needs during the year. CERT training teaches you to prepare yourself, your neighbors and your community to be ready in the event of an emergency and to act on that training if the need arises. Duties can include:

 Community Outreach
 Basic First Aid
 Temporary Emergency Shelter Support
 Crowd Control
 Light Search and Rescue
 Evacuation
 Assisting with Flu Clinics or Health Fairs
 Temporary Emergency Shelter Support

Volunteers will be required to attend a series of training classes covering topics such as first aid and disaster preparedness. These classes will take place once a week for a period of 8 weeks. Completion of all 8 classes is required to be certified as a Bridgewater Community Response Team member.
